WESTBOROUGH – Local creatives gathered at Tatnuck Bookseller in Westborough last week as part of a new networking event organized by the group Creative Sphere of MetroWest.

Hosted by Maureen Ciaccio of mhcDesign in Marlborough and Carrington Crothers of Prospect Street Studio in Marlborough, the event focused on connecting creative working professionals to “let their creative juices flow,” according to a press release.

The event was held on May 26, drawing individuals focused on videography, web design, graphic design, copywriting, photography, digital marketing, social media marketing, casting directors, painters and more from an area stretching from Boston to Worcester.

“The creative community is known for its compassion for each other and the desire to see each other thrive,” Crothers said in that aforementioned press release. “By networking together, we can share ideas, build referral sources, and grow our businesses while building long-term relationships.”

Ciacco noted overlapping talents while acknowledging the difficulty of coordinating schedules in creative industries.

“There are often times when a project calls for a set of professionals, not just one,” she said. “It’s in the spirit of cooperation, not competition, that we gather.”

Creative Sphere aims to connect creatives to help each other thrive, share referral sources, and scale their creative business.

Both Crothers and Ciaccio will be hosting additional events.
